If you have hobby supply ideas.. what do you do?

If I happen to have a few ideas about hobby suplies.. what should i do?

Just sending them the ideas, is not a good idea. Cause that would mean zero ways of proving its your idea.. but then what?

And what to do about prototypes?

Yea, I'd get it patented and then contact D&A's and Blowout and see if they will sponsor it or help you market it? I dunno.
