Fairly light IMO. Money lost is fraction of what they gained by not reporting.

i completely disagree with you here Andy...by taking this 'punishment' and seemingly not fighting it, they are saying 'yep we were wrong'...now that their finance is going VERY public, it is going to cost them WAY more in the civil suits...

last i saw, and its been awhile, PSU was named in 3 civil suits...forget the $20 Million per i suspected before, i will assure you that the lawyers for the plantiffs will say "Do you think the loss of innocense is only worth 1 year of football profits?"

CHA-CHING

im expecting some $50+ Million settlements, and im thinking they will want to settle out of court because if they go to court im sure victims will be awarded HUGE money

I think regardless of the fine, they were going to have those suitys though. If I were them, I'd rather pay $60M than get the death penalty but in any case this is going to set the program back years, maybe even decades.

I would love an explanation for 1998-2000 wins. The 98 allegations were reported and investigated by police ... doesn't really matter I guess, but they did it right then.
