Rich,
I'm interested in the Jack Lambert rookie. I took a look at your want list. I have some vintage Red Sox I can send in trade. I'll get details to you soon; I have to go search the box to see what's left. Off the top of my head, I know I have a 1975 mini Fred Lynn rookie. I'll see what else is there. ---Mark

Rich,
Found these. Crease-free. Backs are all clean.

do you have a list of those? I am not familiar enough with vintage baseball to know what years those are...thanks
Sure. The values shown are the NM value shown in my April/May Beckett Vintage Collector price guide. These cards aren't all necessarily NM, but the ones that aren't are still pretty nice. In order of appearance in the scan:
1976 #230 Yaz $40
1977 #480 Yaz $15
1977 #640 Fisk $30
1978 #40 Yaz $25
1977 #347 Williams $30
1975 #622 Lynn RC $15* (My Beckett shows just the value for the regular 1975 cards, not the minis.)

Thought I'd give you a choice to pick from. The only card other than the Lambert you have on your site that I am interested in is the 2021 Panini Rookie and Stars Standing Ovation #SO-2 Josh Allen $8.

Thanks,
Mark

I took a second look and these two might work too. That may help with your decision on the Red Sox cards.
2021 Wild Card Alumination Comix #AC-10 Najee Harris (#15/25) ($10)
2021 Wild Card Alumination Protostar Purple #PS-10 Najee Harris (21/50) ($10)

hi can you check this? i looked and this is not ted williams...1977 #347 Williams $30...

so your numbers are correct, but those are NM values and I really cannot tell if any of those you are offering are near mint...

i checked the lambert RC and the bv is $40...so what you want from me looks like this...

1976 Topps #220 Jack Lambert RC SGC 4.5 ($40)
2021 Wild Card Alumination Comix #AC-10 Najee Harris (#15/25) ($10)

2021 Panini Rookie and Stars Standing Ovation #SO-2 Josh Allen $8

I dont have any of those cards that you are offering...can you tell me which have the sharpest corners? I would probably grade and keep in my pc...am also interested in other cards either if they are already graded or would grade highly...does not have to be a Boston team...lmk thanks

I was almost finished with my reply to you, and then it disappeared. I'll start over. I made a mistake on the Ted Williams card; it's a 1976 Topps, not 1977. As far as grading, I don't send cards in for grading, but have looked at many that have been graded. Still, I never predict what grade a raw card would bring, because guys who get cards graded regularly are still surprised sometimes by what they get back. In looking at these cards with my magnifying glass, the sharpest corners are on the 1977 and 1978 Yastrzemski cards. Most guys I know would say they qualify as NM and would trade at 100% of book value. To be conservative, I would say the Lynn rookie is Ex/Mt, 75% of book value, and the rest would be Ex condition and trade at 50% of book value. You correctly listed the four cards I picked from your list, and there is still enough value in what I have scanned for you to pick the ones you like the most. We can talk about other cards in a future trade. Thanks.

I made another error. The sharpest corners are on the Yaz cards from 1976 and 1977. The 1978 Yaz would be classified as EX. Sorry. I don't seem to be hitting the right keys today!

If it helps, I can present the trade values this way:
1976 #230 Yaz $40 x 100% = $40
1977 #480 Yaz $15 x 100% = $15
1977 #640 Fisk $30 x 50% = $15
1978 #40 Yaz $25 x 50% = $12.50
1977 #347 Williams $30 x 50% = $15
1975 #622 Lynn RC $15 x 75% = $11.25, probably $12 because the minis are much scarcer. They were a regional test, not distributed nationally.

If you want to focus on just cards with four sharp corners, I know I have a 1979 Johnny Bench for $12. I also have a 1979 Eddie Murray which I think is $20; I'll have to look up that one.

Yes I would prefer that...maybe the 76 Yaz, the lynn rc, and maybe one of those two you just mentioned...lmk when you find them ty

I found both of them and several more. I can't make scans now because I don't want to wake anyone here. The 1979 Murray is confirmed at $20. Also for your consideration are 1978 Jack Morris RC $20, 1973 Al Kaline $25, 1977 Mike Schmidt $30, 1977 Dave Winfield $25, 1979 Mike Schmidt $25, and 1976 Dave Winfield $20. All have nice borders and sharp corners, NM condition. I will make scans of any of interest and send them in the morning. ---Mark

Too bad I don't have more you can use...lots of nice cards there...so the original 4 we talked about above and the kaline...can you send me scans of those 5? Then I can make an offer ty

I'll send you separate scans of the 1976 Yaz, the 1975 Lynn RC, the 1973 Kaline, and which other two, just so I'm clear on scanning the correct cards for you.
