Former NBA player Corie Blount faces a May 19 trial on drug charges stemming from his December arrest.

The 40-year-old former University of Cincinnati star entered not guilty pleas Wednesday to two counts of marijuana trafficking and two counts of marijuana possession. He remains free on bond.

Sheriff's deputies say they saw Blount pick up a package they knew contained marijuana, and later found more marijuana at his home. They seized 29 pounds.

Blount was a first-round draft pick by the Chicago Bulls in 1993. He played for five other NBA teams during an 11-year pro career.
