From Non-Sport Update Magazine I got a price guide book I had ordered earlier in the week, I thought the publishing of it was later this month so I wasn't expecting it so soon. Any way the book is:

The Vintage Trading Card Price Guide by Todd Frye for $25 + shipping it covers NON-Sport Cards ONLY (No sports sorry guys) from 1960 - 1985. It is pretty good reminds me a little of the Sport Americana Price Guides from the early 1980s. It has some sample black and white photos to help identify some of the sets. So for people like me who already have some of the Sport Americana books there isn't really anything "NEW". But it is fun.

Along with the book NSU sent me same promo cards. Alas I already have them so now they are dupes.

A one package mailday today Saturday 21 September 2013:

OK so a few days ago I had gotten an email from Panini about a status update for a redemption I had, when I checked the link it showed that the request was closed but I wasn't finding any info on it in my profile at all I have recently received the only other OPEN redemption I had with them. Anyway checking the redemption card that was pulled from a group break (at TCZ) I had a sticky note I had placed on it with the date of 25MAY2013 as the date I submitted the thing. So that is 4 months. NOT bad. So the card was

On Saturday 05 October 2013 I got my cards from the TCC Official Football Group Box Breakers Special Edition Break. This was a special anniversary sort of break were past members were invited to sign up for a huge box break to celebrate the group's anniversary of some sort. It was a freebie break hosted by Sam AKA: WestCoastSkinsFan. Since I had the Rams in the past I was offered them. I don't recall what boxes or how many boxes were busted but there were a few anyway I came away with 6 cards: (ALL Rams so I don't need to mention the team)

On Saturday 12 October 2013: I got a surprise package from a blogger Jack at Baseball Dad's All Tribe Baseball blog. A while back he had a contest/draft thing and I had gotten a card from it. I forget when it was (I could search his blog to see when he held it but that is too much work for right now). The note he included could have been the opening credit scroll for a Star Wars Movie "A long, long time ago I had a free card Give-A-Way..." anyway he also included some bonus cards I guess partly to make up for being so late in sending and probably partly just to be a cool member of the card blogging universe.

First the bonus cards which are 50 some 1988 Topps Baseball that knocked out a good chunk of what I needed from that set. I'll just list the numbers and point out a few key cards:

On Tuesday 15 October 2013 Got the first wave of a sportlots order mostly baseball cards. Many of these I have had in my shopping cart for months on end, every once in a while having to update the list to replace cards that had been sold or had prices changed, then I would look for either a cheaper priced one or a better conditioned one or both. I was going to list them completely chronologically but then the postage costs would get totally confusing. Since it was sportlots sales many of them came in PWEs. The Mostly Mascots one had me scared because the bozo shipped them PWE all shoved into a card saver that had tape on it fortunately the tape was old tape and the "seal" was already open so it didn't pose much of a threat to the top card (the Atlanta Braves Mascot)
