Mail Day CaptKirk's Mail Bag

ON Saturday 08 Mar 2014: I got an Ebay package. 4 cards total with the shipping only $3.75 They are all related 4 autograph cards from Warehouse 13 Seasons 2 and 3 sets. I got them for an average of $24.25 each. it started when I saw one of the cards for sale at $30 w/ the $3.00 shipping. I made an offer of $22 w/ the $3.00 shipping and it got accepted then I noticed they had the other 3 cards some of which I was already watching. So I ended up getting all four here is what I got:

All 4 auto cards are not numbered and are on-card autos with blue sharpie.

2012 Rittenhouse Warehouse 13 Season 3: Autographs
Eddie McClintock as Pete Lattimer $30
Saul Rubinek as Artie Nielson $30

2011 Rittenhouse Warehouse 13 Season 2: Autographs
CCH Pounder as Mrs. Frederic $15
Joanne Kelly as Myka Bering $22 (this is the one I had made an offer of $22 from $30) this card is marked 2010 but even the official Rittenhouse website checklist seems to have it as Season 2 even though it has the 2010 copyright date and the picture is actually from the pilot episode.

The seller also included a couple of bonus cards.
2011 Rittenhouse Warehouse 13 Season 2: Promo Cards
P1 Pete Lattimer and Myka Bering
P3 Artie Nielson and Claudia Donovan

Pretty sure I already have the bonus cards. Due to the copyright date on the back of the Joanne Kelly card I wasn't sure if it should be really a Season 1 card, but everything I've found and the official website seem to have it as a Season 2 card.

ON Monday 10 Mar 2014: I got a group break package and a sportlots order.

1991 Pro Cards Frederick Keys (Orioles) Team Set Cards 2355-2383 (checklist card) 29 cards. Don't think there is anyone too spectacular, except for Don Buford (ex O's player) as Director of Field Operations and his son Damon Buford Outfield

1992 Classic Best Jamestown Expos (Expos) Team Set this set was sealed in the original plastic wrap. 30 Cards again nobody spectacular. Interesting they include the trainer's card, plus one of the catcher's card is a black and white head and shoulders portrait, not color portrait or action portrait like the rest

On Friday 14 Mar 2014: I got a package from a trade deal I totally had forgotten about (I need to dig around for my part of the deal) From Adam of the APRSmith's Sportscard Obsession blog. WOW he knocked out a big portion of my 1993 Ted Williams Baseball set needs.

Got two packages on Monday 17 March 2014: A Ebay order and booty from a group break. I'll mention them in reverse order than what I normally do, I usually do the group breaks last since they usually have tons more cards to mention and people get bored reading about them
biggrin.gif

So the group break was from Ken's (pwlantern) TCZ Baseball Group Break. My team the Nationals and the random team(s) I got were Cubs and Rays. The product was: 2014 Topps Tribute, 2013 Bowman Platinum, and 2013 Topps Tier 1 looks like I got at least one card per product, thanks to a totally random hit form Tier 1

2013 Bowman Platinum 9 cards (looks like I had the Nats from this already from a previous break or two)
39 Bryce Harper Nationals
58 David Price Rays Blue Sapphire variant looks more like crushed ice or shreded translucent cellophane or plastic wrap. FT/FS
Prospects:
BPP6 Will Myers Rays FT/FS
BPP18 Taylor Guerrieri Rays FT/FS
BPP28 Jorge Soler Cubs
BPP47 Brian Goodwin Nationals
BPP74 Lucas Giolito Nationals
BPP93 Richie Shaffer Rays FT/FS
Top Prospects:
TP-AR Anthony Rendon Nationals

2014 Topps Tribute 2 cards
76 Billy Williams Cubs
87 Ryne Sandberg Cubs

2013 Topps Tier 1 1 card a HIT
Tier 1 Relic TOR-EH Eric Hosmer Royals GU "Memorbilia" all white swatch #d 334/399

The second package was a small bubble mailer one card that I got from Ebay for $5.99 + $2.99 shipping. Only disappointment is the card was in a card saver only. UGH hate those things, at least the package was a regular bubble mailer.
1974 Topps Baseball 456 Dave Winfield RC Padres

This card helps with my 1974 Topps Baseball Set build it completes the base Padres team set (I still need one of the Rookie variants of card #599 the large print version I think). I even have the 15 Washington National League Padres variants. So now I have that team plus the full Orioles and Expos team sets (except for maybe some of the 4in1 rookie cards) and the team cards of each team plus the red team checklists.

On Tuesday 18 March 2014: I got some cards from Bob AKA: CommishBob of the 5 Tool Collector blog. On my blogger blog I mentioned I wanted to build the 2004 Upper Deck Play Ball set. I replied that he might have 4 Astros from that set, he did and sent them plus some vintage bonus goodies:

On Wednesday 19 March 2014: I got a package from an Ebay order a 10 card subset for $19.95 Free Shipping 2013 Rittenhouse Warehouse 13: Grand Designs cards GD-1 - GD10

Great stuff! Warehouse 13 is, by far, one of my favorite shows of all time.
I'm really annoyed that Season 5 is only 6 episodes and the last. The show could easily go 10 years.

On my regular non-trading card blog Kirk's Knook is mention WH13 from time to time and try to have a "Myka Monday" where I show a pic of her, well of Joanne Kelly as Myka Bering.

On Saturday 22 Mar 2014 I got a package from a trade that helps on my 1988 Topps Baseball and 2011 Topps Baseball Opening Day set builds. I haven't logged them in toe Zistle yet, or even inventoried them Yet. I have just looked at them and put them in the blog congestion area for inventorying, scanning, blogging etc...
I still need to send out my end of the trade I have it packaged up now and waiting to be taken to the post office or UPS store next Saturday. Maybe I'll have a couple of other packages to go with it.
