Can anyone touch the Braves right now? I know Lowe or Vazquez might be traded (hopefully Lowe), but pitching is the least of my worries right now.

Rays can i think they have plenty of strong pitching . Only issue they have is bullpen and they have a loaded minors with nice prospects.

Rays possible starting 5 for 2010

1. J. Shields Poss 15 to 20 winner
2. M. Garza same
3. J. Niemann 10 to 15
4. D. Price 15 to 20 possible
5. W. Davis Rc could do real well
Also have a couple of others in minors ready to come up.

Bullpen

R. Choate
J. Howell
D. Wheeler
G. Balfour
L. Cormier
D. Thayer
A. Sonnanstine can be a starter as well.

Braves top 6

1. J. Vazquez 15 to 20
2. J. Jurrjens 10 to 15
3. D. Lowe 10 to 15 or less he has been horrible since he went to the NL
4. T. Hanson 15 to 20
5. T. Hudson poss 10 to 15 if healthy
6. K. Kawakami no idea here.

the bullpen

B. Wagner (CL) will lose more games than he can close for them.
P. Moylan
T. Saito
B. Logan
E. O'Flaherty
M. Acosta
K. Medlen
J. Reyes
J. Parr
L. Valdez
T. Redmond

On paper they both look pretty good the Rays are a young squad with plenty more in the minors . The Braves have some nice pitching but Lowe is on his down side. Hudson is good but how long will he last? Hanson is the Ace imo . Wagner is a bad pickup (Ask Red Sox)

Soriano also accepted Arby, so add him to the pen for now.

If Hanson is the Ace, what does that make Jurrjens and Vazquez? We have 3 #1 pitchers that could all win 20 games. Hudson will be fine and can win 12+ games.

3. D. Lowe 10 to 15 or less he has been horrible since he went to the NL
No he hasn't.

Last year was his worst year since 2004 -- his last in the American League.

These are his numbers in his five years in the National League:

14-12 W-L (on average)
3.79 ERA
1.28 WHIP
112 ERA+
209 IP

Take out 2009, and his numbers look even better:

14-12 W-L
3.59 ERA
1.23 WHIP
120 ERA+
213 IP

Hardly "horrible." I bet he gets back to his career average NL numbers in 2010.

How many times did you watch him last year?

What does last year have to do with anything? He won 15 games. He's only done that 3 times in his 12 years in the league. Sure he had some nice games, but I stand by my statement. He's 142-139 over his career. He's nothing more than a .500 pitcher.

Wins are overrated when evaluating pitchers. :pop:
