If I got something like that from a pack I'd be in contact with the Bowman people, Beckett, the press, the league, the player, etc. trying to maximize exposure and rake in the benefits whatever they may be ($$, more product, etc).

Since the seller isn't then I say either he's a doofus or its fake or both.
