Because he's the first d-man to score 30 or more in 20+ years. Actually he's a solid d-man too. He's not the problem. The whole team just plays bad team defense. Pitts had a ton of odd man rushes and multi-shot chances where Washington failed to pick up open guys or control rebounds.
