I had a few drinks & can use some fond memories -

We all had kicks in the butt pulls, but what are the winners?

A few:
(#1) when Sweet Spot first came out autos were 1 in 2 boxes, i think. I bought 1 pack at $10 a pop, and pulled an auto - a stupid Bucky Dent, but still pretty cool

(#2) I bought a box of Bowman Draft 2 years ago. My wife complained at the cost, but she helped me bust - we pulled a 1st year Superfractor - that'll keep her quiet.

(#3) I bought a cheap Kmart multi-pack of baseball in 2001 with JAYMIX79. I thought it was a bust cause I got no autos or GU. Jay says I did alright on some random #rd rookie I pulled - his name? Albert Pujols.

Last month at the bi-weekly card show here I busted a few boxes of UD SPA Hockey at the show. I pulled rookies auto's of 4 of the top Hockey prospects. I would of been happy with just those, then I pulled a Quad auto #'d to 10 which included Gretzky, this was the case hit for sure. (f.y.i. the boxes were purchased from TCG Member CommodoreCountry (Rob) Mr. Good boxes to me). And if all of that weren't good enough in another box out popped another Quad auto #'d to 10, this one was all rookies & serial #'d to the top Rookie of the four that signed. Without a doubt my best day of box busting ever.

you want blast from the past?...back in 95 or 96 i was addicted to 94 upper deck baseball and bought some packs at the shop, pulled a Next Generation set trade card, 20 card set i think, the regular cards were like 1:20, so this card was pretty dang rare...same shop like 2 weeks later, bought some more packs, pulled a Next Generation Electric Diamond set trade card....then like 2 months later pulled the ARod 94 UD Auto out of a box i paid $30 for at Kmart...wish i had kept that card...

probably my top two are:

1) Went to Ft Walton with the g/f one Sat and bought a tin of 03-04 SP Signature Basketball and pulled a Lebron rookie auto redemption # to 25!

2) When UD Glass first came out in Basketball I was busting a box with cmixer and pulled a dual jersery of MJ!

Back in 03 I pulled a Topps Pristine Jerry Rice Mini Auto

For x-mas in 05 I was given a pack of Leaf Limited and pulled a Marcus Allen Limited Threads Numbers 2 Color Patch/Auto /32

Last year I pulled 2 different MJD RC Autos Sweet Spot & Contenders, sent them to Cris (scrappy) cause she's awesome.

Bought a pack of 06 Triple Threads to give away to board members, pulled a B-Cal RC Triple Swatch/Auto /10 and sent that to Jameson, and a Barry Sanders Triple jsy /36, sent to twisty.

At last years nats, Julia pulled Raiders Autos & G/U'd left & right. 06 PP Legends Stabler Auto, 06 Elite LaMont Jordan Auto, 06 Classics Fred Biletnikoff Super Bowl XI G/U'd FB & Lace /25!!

And in the past few weeks...

Bought a pack of Absolute, pulled a Chris Brown TOTT Jumbo 3 color patch, sent to Rima cause she's awesome.

Bought a pack of Topps TX, pulled a Mike Alstott Super Bowl XXXVII Ticket Auto, sent this to Charlie cause I hate that card even though it's selling good on ebay.

For Christmas a year and a half ago, I really wanted to try a box/pack of 2005 Leaf Limited, so I talked my girlfriend into buying one for me. Open the pack....first card I see is a Tom Brady #/50, so I was hoping it was a good omen. Slide some more to see my hit, and I saw this:

I noticed the numbering on this card.....knew that the numbering for this card would not be on the back, so knew there was something on front. Nearly freaked out when I saw this:

Still can't believe I pulled this :dance: Happily still own it and will continue doing!

1) When I was around 10 years old, I pulled this Larry Bird auto out of one of those 92 courtside box set packs (like UD Rookie Premiere today, with nearly the whole set in each box/pack).

Got it graded recently, still mint after 15 years. Still my favorite pack pull. It's been all downhill from there to me, lol.

This was in '99, but bought a box of '96 Upper Deck Football, hoping to pull a Game Jersey. The box was purchased from K-Mart, back when they had full boxes of semi-decent product a few years old.

Pulled the Terrell Davis Cel card (which were the redemption cards for the winner Predictor's) and then a Mark Brunell Game Jersey :dance:. Best $20 I ever spent :cheers:

Back in 96-98 I was just out of college and spent way too much buying boxes on my credit card. not a smart move since most of the cards are worthless now.

I bought a box of 1997 Topps and thought I wouldn't pull anything but was addicted to opening packs at the time. I almost pooped myself when I pulled this.

Then last year I bought a box of Press Pass Legends. Was very suprised when I pulled this:

I liked the box so much that I went out and bought a second box and pulled this, which I sold to someone on the site:

I've had some other good ones, like the Carlos Beltran 1/1 Auto but in a Royals uni.

Last year Bowman Chrome was GOOD to me!

Actually all Topps was.

I got the Leinart RPM auto from a box buy we had here from the Topps Jumbo.
Then I went to Wal-Mart to get cards and all they had was NBA, Which I do not collect, and pulled some Gold Refractor auto that I sold for $250
I went back to the same Wal-Mart and got a box of BC Football and pulled the Matt Leinart Gold Refractor auto from that and sold it for $300

This year NADA except an Anthony Gonzalez Topps Chrome auto I got yesterday.

Back in 2000 i was out with my friend and we stoped at a 7-11. They had packso of 2000 ultra. So i got 2 packso hoping for a Nice rc. In the 2nd pack i pulled a No name RC auto. My friend was lik ewho did you get i said a 4th string QB from the Pats Tom brady autographics.....
