Racing Allmendinger to replace Labonte in 5 races

AJ Allmendinger will replace Bobby Labonte as the No. 47 Toyota for the Sprint Cup race next weekend at Michigan International Speedway, along with the Watkins Glen road course on Aug. 11 and possibly three other races this season.

Strange indeed, me thinks there's more to this than we're hearing about. Are they not happy with Bobby's results?

Bobby won the Championship in 2000, driving the #18 for Joe Gibbs Racing, but it's been all down hill since then.

I like Bobby... I like Mark Martin... but honestly, it is time for some of the older drivers to step down and let the up and coming generation take a shot.
