Busted my first jumbo box of the 2013 baseball oversion of Topps. Here is a quick review:
The base cards are very clean looking this year, here is 2 of the hottest rookies for the year
And, of course, there is the gold variations, numbered to 2013
They also have a black, camo and pink variation of each base card.(But I did not get any of those)
This years minis are of the 1972 Topps variety, I liked this set, so I think these are nice
And on to the hits
It would not be a Topps box without a David Wright hit, so here it is:
There is also 1 guaranteed auto and I got Drew Hutchison (not the best hit, but he could end up being a stud):
And my favorite hit of the jumbo boxes is the award cards. Sometimes Topps has tried too hard to come up with something special but I think these are a hit. The card is about a quarter inch thick and the metal piece is actually pretty heavy. They come in several different awards but I got the Todd Helton Silver Slugger card:
Let me know what you all think of the new set and lets see what hits everyone has pulled so far.
