Busted my first jumbo box of the 2013 baseball oversion of Topps. Here is a quick review:
The base cards are very clean looking this year, here is 2 of the hottest rookies for the year

And, of course, there is the gold variations, numbered to 2013

They also have a black, camo and pink variation of each base card.(But I did not get any of those)

This years minis are of the 1972 Topps variety, I liked this set, so I think these are nice

And on to the hits
It would not be a Topps box without a David Wright hit, so here it is:

There is also 1 guaranteed auto and I got Drew Hutchison (not the best hit, but he could end up being a stud):

And my favorite hit of the jumbo boxes is the award cards. Sometimes Topps has tried too hard to come up with something special but I think these are a hit. The card is about a quarter inch thick and the metal piece is actually pretty heavy. They come in several different awards but I got the Todd Helton Silver Slugger card:

Let me know what you all think of the new set and lets see what hits everyone has pulled so far.

I'm not a huge baseball collector, so I doubt I'll be opening any of this myself. I do like the clean design, and large photos, on the cards though. Very nice looking sets.

I can't say that I'm a fan of those award hits, though. I just don't get it. Anything that is manufactured to put inside a card is a bit overkill in my opinion.

Nice pulls. Overall I like the look of the set, I will probably end up buying a box or two myself just because I always do with Topps.

Nice break! Don't know too much about baseball, so I don't know the auto guy. But Wright is nice :)

I was staring at that metal thing trying to figure out what the heck it was. Then I read what you wrote, and went "aaaaahhhh... why?" lol :p

Thanks Mark, the manufactured are a little lame but, for me, it is better than cutting up a game used jersey and putting one inch squares in a card.

If there is anybody, in particuliar, that you interested in, let me know. I am a huge Reds fan and am always up for a good trade also.
Honestly, no person or team in particular when it comes to baseball. I collect mainly sets, HOF, Vintage and players in Miami uniform when it comes to BB. But I'll keep my eyes open for any Reds for you but when it comes to BB, I mostly buy. I'll PM you if I ever grab something I think you could use.
