2009 Training Camp and Preseason thread

Week 2 Notes

Frank Gore: Warmed up to watch the majority of the game on the sidelines.
Vernon Davis: 2 catches, no useless celebrations

Mike Thomas: Didn't register any stats. Awesome sign.
Antoine Cason: Not as good as last week.
Chris Henry: Still blindly running into the back of o-linemen. Job loss even more imminent than last week.
Mike Bell: 10 carries, 100 yards, TD.

And Glen Coffee kick the doggie doo out of the Raiders defense. You forgot to add that part.

Chris Henry will not be a Titan this season. Javon Ringer personally packed his bag, paid for his plane ticket, and sent him to the unemployment line.

Another damn good game from him. His cut-back moves improved from last week.

At times, he did seem somewhat lost last week from what I saw (although consistently gaining 3-4 yards before the big gain). I'm really excited about his pro potential. He picks up blocks well, can catch, and is a good solid straight ahead runner with a decent bit of speed. 49er fans should be pumped about him :salut:

Giants looked terrible last night against the Bears. They didn't ahve 5 starters on defense but giving up 17 points ot the Bears first team was ugly. The O didn't look much better except for Jacobs who just ran people over. Made Urlacher look like a little girl by knocking him straight on his back twice. Eli had no time to throw. The WRs really are worrying me. Steve Smith is the only one I have confidence in.

Bears sucks.

No clue what's going on with ANY of my players, which is sad :(

I know about Coffee and Davis and anyone Jason likes though, since I get texts from certain people.

Saints vs. Chargers super bowl 45 or whatever its at now :secret:

I am liking Mr. Coffee quite a bit. On a side note, even though Alex Smith didn't show much against the Raiders, did anyone else see him lay out that DE on a block and then tackle the guy who got the INT after his receiver tipped it? I'm glad to see him playing like he cares!

Week 3 Notes

Frank Gore: Didn't play him much more than the 1st quarter. 5 carries for 19 yards.
Vernon Davis: Didn't produce much in the game. Must mean he is in regular season form.

Mike Thomas: Didn't register any stats. At least the cards remain cheap.
Antoine Cason: 7 tackles, but botched one tackle that caused a Finneran TD.
Chris Henry: 1 carry, 4 yards. Still on the fast track to getting released by Tennessee.
Mike Bell: Running the ball would have slowed down the scoring for the Saints. 5 for 15 yards. At least he's not in Chris Henry territory.

This just in.....Saints will win the Super Bowl.

And in unrelated news, Jake Peavy was just traded to the White Sox for a lifetime supply of bleach.

I hope breaking news happens next year at Nats and you are there with us to share in it  ...
