1/15/2025 - The third most important day of the year

My thoughts so far, is there are two disappointments:

1) There is an insert i guess called "Shots by the Kid" with numbering that is TK (for the Kid) which is similar to the insert last year which was 1992 Bowman by Randy Johnson.

This is disappointing because I do not like the insert (last year or this year) and secondly it is not listed on any checklist or stated odds that I can find.

2) I loved bowman's best becuase they dropped the Game Used stuff after 2005, but they have brought it back for this set. Definitely not my favorite move

I agree with you on both points. Watched a break yesterday and was struck by seeing a GU - I do not like GU in any regular set -- and feel same way about the Shots By and Randy Johnson inserts. Good luck in your second box.

I got into a group break yesterday of 10 cases. The collation of this product is the worst that I’ve ever seen. There were autographs pulled of players 10 to 15 times versus people that got zero. The cards look great don’t get me wrong but it’s a very weird Collation.
The shots by the kid cards are bland and don’t belong. They should’ve brought back the Bowman‘s best 2000 inserts again. They look good they would’ve worked for this product and instead they brought something with a bunch of mid end players that nobody is going to really care about.
I will say, though that the parallels look really good, they did a great job making a parallel set that stands out and looks polished.
If you are a collector of Colin Houck, Ethan Salas, Perdomo, Vargas, Samuel Basallo, Kemp Alderman, Mick Abel to name a few, you are going to have fun. It was hard to believe that in 10 cases they did not hit a single Heston Kirsta autograph. But yet 15 Samuel Basallos. Zero Jackson Hollidays. And only a couple Westburg and Cowser and Bradfield.
Thankfully I only picked Kjerstad and didn’t spend thousands on the mistake for Holliday or Crews, that would’ve been a disaster.
Those autograph relic cards. Remind me a lot of 2006 Bowman draft. I don’t know why they inserted them, because the sticker autographs are terrible. I really think they could’ve made that a better option in Bowman draft. And instead of making autograph relic cards numbered to 500, they could’ve made them much lesser quantities and made them one per case.

Are you still doing a break on this? Was there a lot of Phillies in the break or was it like all 5-6 teams and then almost
nothing for all the other teams?
