what does everyone do with

what does everyone do with their commons?

I rarely see anyone selling or trading commons

I've got a big common box. (and I try to keep them all in there) then once it gets too full I either just give some player/team lots away to collectors or I trade them for a cheap-o game-used. I also give commons with alot of trades/ebay sales as an added extra "bonus" (but only of the same player, so for instance if someone bought a LeBron from me they might get a few extra Bron's if I have any at the time, but they wouldn't get a Kobe or anything)

I have a whole closet full of boxes and boxes of commons. I usually make sets of the cards and then just throw the extras in a box. Its really a waste. I wish somebody could take them off my hands but nobody really collects them anymore. Its all about patches, gu, and autos.

yeah thats how im starting to feel.
its almost like making commons are a "waste of ink"
but i pull out who i collect and the rest is in a pile to trade off

I have 2-3 boxes of those common baseball, football and basketball.Give some away in trades. I sell them in cardshows 100 cards $5. all star players type of players. The ones that no one wants i sell the commons in my local card shop for a small price.

I sometimes give alot of them to my local shop, or I'll put together bags of 200 cards for $3 each at our garage sales. Alot of kids out here that love cards too.
I seperate all of the star players and have them alphabetically sorted in boxes for trading with those who want base.

I have 1000s of base and not really sure what im gonna do with them

I might try to trade a bunch for some gu's but i dont want to pay $20 to ship 100 cards.

speaking of which how much does everyone pay to mail/ship cards?

I collect mine. I sort them by player, then year of the card. I've currently got 7 monster boxes full of well-organized base.

It's really simple to find out exactly what I have. It just gets tiring sorting them all out when I get new cards.

If I am close to completing a set, I will chase the last few cards then put them in storage.

The rest, I give away to young collectors.

Sometimes the young guys DON'T even want those bases from me anymore lol
