Basketball Stoudemire Says Cavs Would Have Won It All With Him In Their Lineup

Amare Stoudemire tells CBSSports.com’s Ken Berger the Cavaliers would have been NBA champions if they had acquired him at the trading deadline.

The Suns big man made the boast in this Twitter exchange through the NBA’s Twitter media account:

Berger: how far do you think cleveland would have gone if you had been traded there?

Stoudemire: Championship

Stoudemire reportedly was close to coming to Cleveland, but the Cavs were unable to finish a deal with Phoenix. They acquired Antawn Jamison(notes) instead.

Now, the Suns are in the Western Conference finals against the Lakers while the Cavs were bounced by the Celtics in the East semifinals.

I couldn't agree more. What doesn't make any sense is that the Suns were willing to take J.J. Hickson for him and he didn't even hardly play in the playoffs.
