The Seattle Seahawks are taking advantage of their bye week to get healthier. And not just by resting.

Marcus Trufant practiced Tuesday for the first time since injuring his lower back in late July. The 1997 Pro Bowl cornerback says he hopes to play in Seattle's next game, Nov. 1 at Dallas.

Trufant says his injury was similar to the bulging disk that cost quarterback Matt Hasselbeck nine games last season, and that he's doing similar core strengthening exercises to prevent re-injury.

Leroy Hill also hopes to play at Dallas. The $38 million outside linebacker practiced for the first time since he torn his groin in Seattle's opener Sept. 13.

Hill says he now feels "perfect" following what he called the worst pain he's ever had. He thought his career may be over when he first got hurt.
