Heyward is actually doing fine and may play in the All-Star game. Hart would play LF.
The only problem I have with trading Minor is the fact that he is a lefty. We don't have a lefty in the rotation in Atlanta and o our top pitching prospects, he is the only lefty.

How the hell is Heyward and All Star when Bosch for Detroit isn't? Different leagues, but Heyward isn't the best rookie even.

Braves need another stick if they are going to make a run at the series this year and are very deep in pitching through the organization right now. On Heyward/Boesch, Heyward injured his thumb on May 14. At the time, he was hitting .300 with a 1.000+ OPS. His numbers have really sagged because of the injury.

Heyward has been playing injured for a month. Before that he was carrying the Braves to first place.

And didn't he go on a tear the next 2 months (before he got hurt) and carry the team to first place after being down 6 games?
i dont know, dont follow baseball, just remember reading a guys status updates about being ashamed to be a Braves fan

Yes, but he won several games for them with walk off hits and game-winning runs. During the bad stretch, the team as a whole was hitting around .230.

I don't think this would be a bad deal for the Braves. From reading, it looks like Minor is a control guy with an average fastball. Guys like that are a dime-a-dozen.
Hart looks to be under control through 2011, so it's not just a rental. He'd fit nicely into LF and in the middle of the ATL lineup.

Many feel that the Braves let this out there to try to get someone better. We will see.
