Richard Petty Motorsports is set to put one driver in a Ford for the remainder of the season.

Elliott Sadler will drive a Yates Racing Ford in next weekend's Sprint Cup race at Talladega Superspeedway.

A.J. Allmendinger will drive one in the final three at Texas, Phoenix and Homestead-Miami.

RPM and Yates are finalizing a merger that will move RPM from Dodge to Ford in 2010. Team officials said it's in the hands of attorneys and basically down to paperwork.

They added that no hang-ups are anticipated and that RPM will use the Fords, purchased from Yates, for the remainder of the year even if the final papers aren't signed.
