Hi everyone ;)

I'm new here and I'm a 36 year old female from Germany.
I guess this is my first time for lots of things - my very first time in a card forum, I've never traded cards, but I collected them back in 2003 to 2006. I had lots of fun collecting baseball and basketball cards. Due to frustrating events in my life, I kind of lost it and now that I get my life straightened up again, I remembered the cards waiting on me in their boxes to go through them again.
I am looking foward to look around here, to get advice from the pros, to meet nice people to talk to, to get back into the card collecting again, to get back into the whole subject and maybe do some trading.

Glad to be here ;)

Welcome to the Freaks and from Germany is okay with me! Went there for 30 wedding anniversary, loved it. Make sure to look around and any questions just ask anybody!

Queenie, welcome to the group. I have plenty of baseball and basketball to trade, base cards if you are building recent sets and autos and game-used as well. Feel free to look at my photobucket site or ask questions.

Trading is lots of fun, you will enjoy it.

Bob

Thanks to everyone for all the nice welcome messages!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! I sure appreciate it ;)
I have only started diggin through all my stuff and it will take quite a while until I have a slight overview, let alone lists and scans, but once I finished all that, I'll be ready to learn from you guys ;) And thanks for offering help, I'm sure I'll have lots of questions in the future.

G'day there,Welcome to the forum.PM me if you have any trouble with anything.Who/What do you collect in baseball and basketball ?

Thanks ;)
Since I was new back then to the whole subject of collecting cards, I pretty much collected a wild mix of everything in both baseball and basketball. Of course it was most fun breaking the packs. We don't have anything comparable over here - maybe that's what intrigued me.
Of course coming from Germany I like to collect Dirk Nowitzki, but I also tried to extend my Carmelo Anthony and Tracy McGrady cards.
In Baseball I tried to get a lot from the Baltimore Orioles, especially Cal Ripken jr., also some Jeter and McGwire etc.
It's a wild mix of everything I did get in those 3 years - whenever I thought I got a good deal, I tried getting my hands on it. That also included other memorabilia from the players and teams - pins, cups, magazines, stickers, figures etc. I even did get a couple of stamps with Baseball players and a stamped envelope first day issue of honoring Babe Ruth from 1983.

Now I have to sit down and figure out what I want to focus on, concerning the cards, I'm still open for everything as a newbie.
