Football Plaxico Burress indicted on weapons posession

HiEnd

Bench Warmer
Plaxico Burress has been indicted by a New York grand jury on charges of criminal possession of a weapon in the second degree.

No surprise here. Burress will surrender to authorities, post bail, and set a court date for a possible trial. He will have to decide whether he is willing to go through a trial or work on a plea agreement now. The general consensus is that Burress will face a year in jail at a minimum, but the district attorney is likely looking for more. Burress' teammate Antonio Pierce was not indicted for his role in the incident.
