According to Panini's customer service team Twitter account, it looks like Panini is about to stop honoring expired redemptions.
This has some members in the hobby up in arms. I share the unpopular opinion on this, sorta. As long as the company clarifies that a product comes with redemptions, and when those redemptions expire, I'm perfectly fine with this. What it will mean is if there are any big name redemptions in the product, those products will be either sold quicker, or they'll drop significantly more in price once the redemptions expire. I don't see that many products, these days, lasting too long on the shelves anyways. That said, kinda makes me feel sorry for the guys sitting on a ton of old boxes with expired redemptions. I think Panini at least could have given some kind of heads up that this was about to happen. As far as I know, there still hasn't been an official annoncement.
What do y'all think about this move?
