As many of you know, Upper Deck has the exclusive rights to produce NHL licensed trading cards. No one else can use any NHL images, team logos or likenesses of players, so a company like ITG is forced to use pictures of the players on international team games or to photoshop out the team logos and anything affiliated with the league and cannot make rookie cards.
Well today Ovechkin refused to sign Upper Decks contract and therefore will not be seen in any future Upper Deck products including the final 2 or 3 releases this year. Grab your Ovechkin stuff while you can if you want one.
