Ok I wont get in to user names on this. I purchased a 09 Donruss Threads Mark Sanchez auto with a best offer.. I get a message from ebay saying he wants to cancel the auction.. He replys with this-

i want to cancel it because i have brain cancer and i need all the money I can get to pay the doctor bills. if you have any heart you will please cancel it. thank you rory

Now I Feel bad for him but he accepted the offer and obviously has enough money to buy boxes to bust as he told me he pulled this..

I have an issue with this as hes using his illness to make people feel bad for him. The sanchez has gone up since I purchased it and Im having a tough time with my emotions towards this.. On one side yes I feel bad he has Brain Cancer and his daughter passed away from the same thing. The other side of me says Im sorry for your problems and your illness but send me my card..

Any help opinions on this?
 
im wondering if he knew he had it before he listed it. cause snachez had a good day it went up, if he did terrible you would have the card by now.
 
Card is yours. Sorry that he has brain cancer,but unless he just found out about it, the card was listed and purchased however with the illness already in play
 
It SHOULD be your card.....unfortunately there is NOTHING buyers can do to FORCE sellers to send (adversly there is NOTHING sellers can do to FORCE buyers to pay)....

Even if you got a good deal on it, (to me) it's not worth the potential hassle/problems.

just make sure you stick the guy on your BBL just in case of future deals
 
thanks guys I decided to let it go.. As many of you know my lifes been a big ball of stress the last month so to me its not worth the headache. Hes a power seller who sells lots of cards, but 50-100 isnt worth my stress it could ultimately causes
 
I would say he is totally lying about the brain cancer to make you feel bad and cancel the purchase. Odds are the card will be relisted in a week or so especially if he has another good game. I'd just say F it and drop a negative bomb on him. This is Ebay and serious business, not trading lunches at lunchtime for 3rd graders.
 
go to the description and the info.. I did some research he does have cancer and his daughter recently passed.. Yes he used this but hes not lying about brain issues. Chris Cornell from Sound Garden wrote some song for him. After that I was done...
 
Still doesn't make it right for him to say lets cancel it so he can relist to sell for more. Do the right thing for buyers and drop the negative on him. Make sure other buyers see this so he doesn't do it to them
 
arod- You must have been picked on as a kid, or you still are kid. He made an sound decision. Life is too short too allow a card to make that big of an issue out of.

Get lost bud.............I didn't say file a lawsuit against the guy or drive to his house and punch him in the head. I said just leave him a negative feedback to let other buyers know not to bother with him after he pulled a stunt like this. Do you think that if someone like me or you did this that it would be ok if we didn't have brain cancer??? Stop using your cancer as a crutch to make people feel bad for you is what I would say. Yeah I feel bad but a deal is a deal no matter what.
