Today i got in a very nice mailday of New York Mets top prospect Zack Wheeler! Please check out the video below and let me know your thoughts! Wheeler is a beast and should be a great pitcher for the Mets for many years to come. The duo of Harvey and Wheeler is insane!

I also have a queston for you guys. I have been wondering about this for 2 weeks or so and thought id post it along with my mailday. What is with the steady decline in the value of Zack wheelers autograph cards? Before he made his debut his 2009 Bowman chrome base auto bgs 9.5 wasent selling for under $100. Now today one sold for $65 and another sold for $73.

He has started great for the mets thus far. 3-1 with a 3.58 ERA... Hes not putting up Matt Harvey numbers but then again who is!

Demand. People want the first cards a player has, his rookies, his autos, etc, but within a year or two they've moved on to the next rookie, the next auto, etc. Since his debut in 2009, his auto prices have declined because there isn't as many people willing to pay the higher prices for them.

That's an easy one to answer:

Max Scherzer (Detroit) 14-1 with a 3.14 ERA.
Matt Moore (Tampa Bay) 14-3 with a 3.17 ERA

Now, to answer your question about the lower sale prices... if you are talking eBay... heck, you can throw up any "top guy's autograph" and see them sell high and low on the same day. Just depends on who is buying, who is selling, and how the card is described. I've seen some really nice Jeff Gordon Autographs (with BVs of $100-plus) sell for close to BV and as low as under $10.00... mainly because the seller had a misspelling (it's usually the name - "Jaff Gardon" , is a good example). I've picked up a few Kyle Busch autographs and race-used cards because of misspellings (it's usually the last name - "Bush" or "Bushe").
