Hockey NHL cancels through Dec. 14, All-Star Game

The National Hockey League announced yet another round of cancellations on Friday, wiping out all regular-season games through Dec. 14, as well as the All-Star Game in Columbus, originally slated for Jan. 27.

The players just missed their 3rd paycheck for this season, but they did get a big escrow check about month ago from monies held back from last year. The highest paid player in the league Brad Richards of the New York Rangers got a check for about $900K for his share. He makes $8 million, or so. Gary Bettman, and Donald Fehr do not get paid during the lockout. They'll get paid when it's all settled from what I was told.
