The Cincinnati Bengals and linebacker Rey Maualuga agreed to a four-year contract Wednesday.
Maualuga, a second-round draft pick from USC, is expected to compete for a starting job at outside linebacker when the Bengals open training camp on Friday in Georgetown, Ky.
Maualuga is part of a highly touted draft class for Cincinnati that also includes rookie right tackle Andre Smith and third-round tight end Chase Coffman.
Cincinnati has two unsigned rookies remaining in Smith, the No. 6 overall pick, and third-round selection Michael Johnson.
