Basketball Marquis Daniels to Boston

Free agent swingman Marquis Daniels has committed to signing with the Celtics, according to the Boston Herald.

Daniels is expected to either sign for the $1.9 million biannual exception or be acquired via a sign-and-trade with Indiana. He will come off the bench in Boston, filling a long-standing need for a reliable small forward to relieve Paul Pierce, who led the team in minutes played last season.

Boston has positioned themselves firmly at the top of the East again, in my opinion. A healthy KG, Pierce, Allen & Rondo, and you bring in Rasheed Wallace and Marquis Daniels?? That's gonna be a scary team if everyone stays healthy. Defensively they may not give up more than 90 PPG. They're gonna do damage this season.
