A convicted murderer has pleaded not guilty in Tennessee to selling a gun that was used to **** former NFL quarterback Steve McNair.
Adrian Gilliam of La Vergne was charged last month with being a convicted felon in possession of a firearm. Court documents say he admitted selling a loaded 9 mm pistol for $100 to McNair's mistress, Sahel Kazemi.
Nashville police said the woman used the weapon to **** McNair and herself on July 4.
Police said Kazemi met Gilliam while she was trying to sell her car.
Prosecutors say Gilliam was convicted in 1993 in Florida on ****** and attempted armed robbery charges.
Prosecutors expect a district judge to set a trial date soon.
McNair retired from the NFL last year after playing for the Tennessee Titans and the Baltimore Ravens.
