Surviving with AIDS.

True...

On a professional level, I voted 3 finals MVP.

How many lesser players has 5 rings or more?
Horry comes to mind

Only the real legends can boast 3 Finals MVP awards.

Surviving AIDS doesn't happen without the $$ generated from any of the above

For me it's the assists as before him, a player his size didn't do that.

Greatest for me was him playing center when Kareem was out against Philly

Magic Johnson

I feel the assists were his greatest accomplishments. He was and still is, one of the most highly respected members of the NBA. I didn't feel he was a "ball hog" per say; and being an MVP shows he has the teamwork skills. When he developed the AIDS virus; he didn't sit in a corner and pout. He pulled himself together, and started helping others, in a different capacity. I still consider Magic, one of the best in the business.

Well, remember when he dribbled in the 84 finals i believe, i also believe it was game 4 after bird said they player like sisses. One of the greatest games EVER in my opinion but magic at the end of that game was so occupied about being a good team mate instead of taking an open shot, he actuly dribbled out the clock in regulation, where the game would go to OT and the celtics would go on to stomp the lakers the rest of the series

I agree with HiEnd it has to be the assist because the Lakers were the first team to impliment the big gaurds and it work to a sucess.
