Wow! To be honest, I never thought I would be doing this stuff again. Dont get me wrong, Ive always loved sports and always played them, but as I started growing up and driving and all that other stuff that comes along w/ growing up, I stopped collecting cards. Its been at least 11- 12 years since I bought my last cards, I used to buy them by the box, ask for them for birthdays, Christmas, etc.
Here I am at 23 years old now. I all of a sudden got this spark in my head that I wanted some more autographs and whatnot. I have at least 20- 25 autographed baseballs by Mickey Mantle, Ted Williams, Chipper Jones, Ken Griffey, Whitey Ford, etc. Pictures, 1,000's of cards... Well, this guy I know, he does something for Converse, Im not sure exactly what but, he gets to meet a lot of players that are signed by Converse. He, just one day, told me he was sending some kicks to Dwyane Wade to get him to sign them for me and he was sending me some Jareem Nelson kicks and a bunch of game- worn jerseys and shoes! That single thing right there just made me want to get back into the game. Ive always wanted a room for just my sports collectibles and whatnot and Im working back towards that again.
