They're promising an "Antiques Roadshow" type of event. I don't know who the "expert" is that they're inviting but they make it sound like he works at Beckett.

Just a local sports card store owner that has arranged for a Beckett rep to be on hand to tell people whether, or not they should submit their items for grading to protect them, and possibly increase their value. Stuff is not being graded on-site, it will be sent to Beckett from there to be graded.

Agreed. IMHO, it's a little bit of a conflict of interest that the person doing the appraising is with the same group that just so happens to sell a grading service.
