Mine That Bird was bred for this race and he SHOULD win. He would have won the Preakness had the race been another 1/16th of a mile long the way he was closing.

i've got my bet on Dunkirk.
How many times have horses won (or should have won) the Derby and the Preakness only to fall apart at Belmont b/c of the length. Closer or not, I don't think Mine that Bird can run it's normal race, therefore it doesn't win...
but then again, I lose alot more than I win when betting on horses
