Baseball help with WILLIE MAYS auto....THANKS

can someone PLEASE explain his auto to me? I am just NOT seeing WILLIE MAYS or anything remotely close to that....it's a NICE signature but WHAT does it say? LOL

heck, I thought it was upside down or something lol anyone?

i can kinda see where he goes, the first one is the W, weird looking but unique the rest I L L I E in script all look abotu the same if you do it fast so I can see that.

I can make out the Ma and then the end is a big script lower case s. Ive seen worse where none of the letters are able to be made out or approximated though

okay to help you out a little bit i did some research on eBay, heres what I found:

PRE 1970 MAYS AUTO:

You can kinda see how he made the "w" and "m" wierd loking before he scribbled it when everybody wanted his autograph.

PRESENT DAY MAYS AUTO:

now he doesn't even care, I LOVE the older mays auto look!! too much for me to buy though

Mays has a gorgeous signature.... just its hard to sign in the confines area with a huge sharpie that they use.... Autos on balls with a pen dont look as nice as the older sig, but still 100x better than the sticker autos.

marinocollector: true, true I hate those sticker signatures...I like the sweet spot or the on card autos I got a sticker auto before and the sticker was half way off!!!
