Racing Hamlin has Compresion Fracture (Back)

Joe Gibbs Racing (JGR) driver Denny Hamlin suffered a L1 Compression Fracture following an accident on the final lap of Sunday's NASCAR Sprint Cup Series Auto Club 400 at Auto Club Speedway. Hamlin hopes to be released today to fly to his home in North Carolina where he will be evaluated by Dr. Jerry Petty of Carolina Neurosurgery & Spine Associates later this week.

Hope he's able to come back and race in a couple weeks (no race this weekend due to Easter).

I think they will know by Thursday if he will be able to race in 2 weeks. My guess is he wont but he raced a week after knee surgery so who knows, lol. Im just glad it wasnt worse, it was a vicious hit.
