Racing Goodbye Speed TV - August 17

NASCAR products are back baby!!!!! oh yeah!
According to a NASCAR spokesperson:

NASCAR has no plans for own TV network. With Speed going away on August 17, leaving race fans with no motorsports-focused network, this might seem like the perfect opportunity for NASCAR to begin its own cable property. But no plans are in the works.

Another black mark on the constant demise of nascar. They've priced themselves out of the market. People can't afford to buy food, and pay their mortgage, so they certainly aren't gonna drop hundreds of dollars to go to a race. Look at the stands each week. They are getting emptier, and emptier as time goes by. I can remember in the late 80's. and early 90's that you couldn't even get tickets to the Daytona 500. You had to go on a waiting list, and they only way you moved up the list if someone gave theirs up, or died. Now, they can't give them away. This sport is dying a slow death. It's sad, really.
