Gave away 20 monster boxes of baseball cards yesterday

Bench Warmer
and still cannot get all my stuff to fit in the closet. Tons of commons from the 80s mainly, some 90s and 00s stuff. I have a buddy that collected some that is a little older than me that has 3 boys that collect a little. I dropped the boxes off at his house so the kids will have something to do this summer.

I managed to complete these baseball sets:

1978 Topps
1980-1994 Topps
1981-1982, 1984-1991, and 1994 Donruss
1982-1992 Fleer
1988-1991 Score
1989-1991 Upper Deck
1991 Leaf
1992 Ultra Series I

Working on these football sets:

1978 Topps Football - have not officially started it yet, but have about 500-600 NM to Mint commons
1980-1988 Topps Football
1990 Fleer Football

I just have to go through and dig to find the cards I am missing. I have so much crap stacked up that giving away the 20 monster boxes only put a dent in the stuff I am going through to find.

Thats really nice of you to hook up your friends children. There was nothing like going through a box of cards during the summer. It's amazing how much stuff we accumulate over the years. I have no where near that much stuff now, because I don't bust as much, but I have all kinds from the late 80's early 90's. Good luck on your new sets thou. Its always fun to work on then complete one.

i sold 180,000+ commons/semistars a few years ago on ebay...had it 'local pick up only' and got $500+ out of it...lately ive just been throwing the garbage out though

I did that a few years back when we had a garage sale. Sold monster boxes full for $10 a piece and when neighborhood kids were interested I'd either just give them one or throw in some old football videos or Starting Line Up figures.

I have 1 monster box of non-PC stuff now.

Nice of you to look after the little ones.
