Pigskin Challenge
The eTopps Fantasy-style game continued to be a success during the 2008 Football season, so we decided to bring it back to eTopps for 2009... with another 14-week challenge! On September 21st, signups will begin for the eTopps Pigskin challenge, an exciting challenge launching on October 4th and lasting 14 weeks that will be sure to test and reward your fantasy skills. Full details will be announced soon, but each week you will submit your team (4 players each week) by unlocking their respective cards from your eTopps portfolio (you can use 2007, 2008, and 2009 cards), and their performance on-field that week will determine how well you do. There will be weekly winners and grand prize winners for the entire 14-week challenge. Prizes will include autographed items from NFL stars and cases of Topps product including Topps Triple Threads Football. Be sure to stock up on your favorite players... and let the games begin!
The Restricted Rookie Offering (The RRO)
We will offer RROs as part of the 2009 eTopps Football set. The feedback on RROs from the eTopps community remains extremely positive and the cards continue to perform extremely well. RROs for 2009 Football will be offered on Mondays at 1PM EST. When offered, we will announce the time frame in which they will be available as well as the print-run (some RROs will have announced print-runs; others may be unlimited). The RROs will include special text on the back designating that the card is an RRO and will never be offered again.*
* Note on RROs: These players will never appear on an individual card, but may appear on other special team or event cards in the future.

Weekend Jackpot Rewards come to 2009 eTopps Football!
Building on the successful introduction of eTopps Weekend Jackpot Rewards during eTopps Baseball, the 2009 eTopps Football season will mark the debut of eTopps Weekend Jackpot Rewards!
eTopps Weekend Jackpots are a series of contests keyed to a specific NFL Week* where eTopps users can earn points if a player in their online portfolio meets a specified statistical target in a game played during that NFL Week.
*An "NFL Week" consists of all games played during a full Thursday-Monday weekend of the NFL season (i.e. NFL games played between 11/12/09 & 11/16/09 are considered to be "NFL Week 10").
Check eTopps.com each day to see if the Weekend Jackpot is active - a unique banner will announce that a specific eTopps Weekend Jackpot is open for THAT WEEKEND ONLY!
When you click on the Weekend Jackpot Banner, you will be taken to a page that will announce the Jackpot statistic for that weekend. An offensive or defensive statistic will be spelled out, such as "150 YARDS RUSHING" or "2 INTERCEPTIONS", and if any player featured on a 2008 or 2009 eTopps Football card in your online portfolio meets or exceeds that statistic during that weekend's NFL games, you will be awarded Weekend Jackpot Reward points! (see below for details)
Weekend Jackpot Rewards will be announced prior to the start of the earliest NFL game on a particular weekend. On days when there is no active Jackpot, a banner will appear on eTopps.com advising that you should "Watch this Space" for future Weekend Jackpot Rewards.
eTopps Weekend Jackpot Reward Points may be used in the same way as traditional Performance Bonus Reward Points, and can be used towards items offered in the eTopps Catalog. Cards eligible for the eTopps Weekend Jackpot Rewards are limited to: 2008 eTopps Football and 2009 eTopps Football. To receive eTopps Weekend Jackpot Reward points, a qualifying 2008 or 2009 eTopps Football card must be in your online portfolio as of 11:59 AM (ET) on the Tuesday following an active eTopps Weekend Jackpot. eTopps Weekend Jackpot Reward Points will be awarded within one week of the featured date.
Player Performance Bonus
2009 eTopps football cards will have a player performance bonus. Each position player will have 2 categories of targets. If the player hits both targets, they will receive the bonus if you own the card at the end of the regular season. The actual performance goals are set and will be determined specifically as follows:
Defensive
Receiving (WRs/TEs)
Passing (QBs)
Rushing (RBs)
Tackles
Receiving Yards
Passing Yards
Rushing Yards
Sacks

Rushing TDs
Note: For WRs and RBs, players will get credit for yards gained from scrimmage and TDs scored from scrimmage; they will not get credit for yards accrued from returning punts/kick-offs or TDs scored from returning punts or kick-offs. RBs will get credit for rushing yards and rushing TDs only (not yards from catches or TDs from catches) and WRs will get credit for receiving yards and receiving TDs only (not from yards from rushing or TDs from rushing).
The number of performance bonus points eligible for each card is as follows:
Greater than $7.50: 3 points
