Jay Cutler is a hero :roflmao::roflmao::lollol::lollol: they brought him in to WIN games :lollol::lollol::lollol::lollol:

What happened to him? He looked half decent in Denver. He was a bit of a spoiled child, but seemed talented. I haven't seen one game where I thought he has looked like an NFL caliber QB in Chicago.

its a product of coaching...think about it, when was the last time there was a 'good' qb in chicago?...

Jim McMahon? at least he was a 'winner' and had some pretty good college numbers at BYU

lets take a look at some of the QBs the Bears have drafted...

Kyle Orton (3)
Craig Krenzel (7)
Rex Grossman (1)
Cade McNown (1)
Moses Moreno (7)
Will Furrer (4)
Paul Justin (7)
Peter Tom Willis (5)
Brent Snyder (10)
Jim Harbaugh (1)
Mark Casale (7)
Jim McMahon (1)

Alright, Harbaugh didnt turn out too bad, but far from a franchise guy, cant really worry too much about guys picked after the 5th round, but that still leaves quite a few picks out there that didnt produce much...

now management has changed in the last 25 years, but one thing has remained constant, the lack of being able to develop a young QB

Yeah but this time they went out and got a guy that had already shown he had pro talent and could put up great numbers. I think it's a combination of terrible o-line, no run game, questionable talent at WR, injury riddled defense, and suspect coaching.

do you know how many of those guys theyve brought in :wall:

Nobody with Cutler's potential that is coming to mind. It's obvious Cutler has talent. He did ok in Denver. We just need to surround him with a better line and at least 1 #1 reciever and get a new coach among other things...

Doug Flutie
Erik Kramer
Rick Mirer (gave up a 1st for him)
Dave Krieg
Chris Chandler
Jim Miller
Kordell Stewart
Brian Griese

some 'decent' QBs, but chicago was long known as a smashmouth team, they didnt really use a QB much

Again, nobody on this list is anywhere near the potential of Cutler.

Erik Kramer is the best on that list. He's the only "decent" QB on that list. The rest were either shitty or ok.

Bears fans crack me up. WAAAAAAAAA, we haven't won a Superbowl since 1985-86...WAAAAAA, we don't have a quarterback.....WAAAAAA.....

Trust me, your grass is WAY greener.

Lol, the Bear fans that say we don't have a quarterback are dumb. We do, we just don't have anything around him or a #1 receiver. Hell Hester would barley be a #2 receiver on any other team. I can't wait till 2 years or so when our line start to retire. They are all so old cept for that Williams. They are all going to retire probably together or around the same time and we will have an even worse line than we do now.

I agree with you on the whiny fans though. Tons of them here back home. Alot of fair weather fans. I'd just like a new coach and some line. Give us an ok line and we'd have the running game back and I can deal with the receivers. Lovie just is not cutting it anymore, but I think he is taking too much blame for how bad we suck.

You should hear the Niner fans whine about Alex Smith. He makes a completion that only went 5 yards and got a 1st down...WAAAH, why doesn't he throw it downfield? etc etc. I feel for the Bears fans, but we have the same situation in SF except that we have slightly better receivers right now who are going to get better. :)

Whining about Alex can be fun. OC Jimmy Raye as well. But I'm pretty fair about that stuff for the most part. :lollol:
