Baseball D-Backs send Garland accross the field in LA

Joining Jim Thome in Mannywood will be his former teammate RHP Jon Garland. This just adds onto the never ending flow chart the Dodgers have going like the 7 degrees of Mantle found on 2009 Topps cards.

Hudson ---> Garland ---> Thome ---> Manny ---> Blake ---> Milton ---> Wolf ---> ...

Why does it seem everybody played with somebody before?

The Dodgers pick up some good pieces there, will be a good playoff series. I figure two of these teams Phillies, Cardinals and Dodgers will play in the NLCS but two will have to play each other in the NLDS so some good baseball coming up look like.

These could be interested times for the Dodgers, they almost seem to want to do what the Yankees have done for years and buy a pennant (I am a diehard Yanks fan) and haven't for awhile. I want to see the Yankees and Dodgers in the World Series, could be very interesting series.

I like how an ESPN analyst alluded Jim Thome to Darryl Strawberry when he joined the Yankees...

Old, not what he was, but still feared by the other team when he can come off the bench and hit that 3-run game winning HR.
