New Chicago Cubs owner Tom Ricketts and team president Crane Kenney are expected to petition Major League Baseball for the 2014 All-Star Game.

During a one-on-one with Levine, Ricketts didn't deny pursuing the game was part of his agenda.

"It would be off the charts," Ricketts said when asked what it would mean to the fans. "It would be magical. Let's hope we have that opportunity."

The All-Star Game would be part of the celebration of the 100th anniversary of Wrigley Field. By that time, the Ricketts family is expected to have spent between $200 million and $300 million in renovations on Wrigley.

Wrigley Field hosted the All-Star Game in 1946, 1962 and 1990.
