First-round draft pick Earl Clark has signed a contract with the Phoenix Suns.
Terms of the deal were not disclosed Friday, but under the NBA rookie salary scale Clark could make about $1.47 million in his first year as the 14th overall pick.
The 6-foot-9, 225-pound forward averaged a team-best 14.2 points and team-leading 8.7 rebounds as a junior last season at Louisville. The Suns had been impressed by Clark's defensive ability and versatility.
The 21-year-old Clark is expected to play for the Suns' NBA Summer League team beginning next week in Las Vegas.
