One day before he reports to training camp with the Cleveland Cavaliers, All-Star center Shaquille O'Neal is being welcomed to town with a star-studded party that will include Mayor Frank Jackson and perhaps even the King: O'Neal's teammate, LeBron James.
O'Neal, one of the most dominant big men in NBA history, was acquired in June, shortly after the Cavs were eliminated by the Orlando Magic in the playoffs. O'Neal, who has already won four titles, wants to get No. 5 and a first one for James, the league's reigning MVP.
O'Neal said his goal is to "win a ring for the king."
Some of O'Neal's teammates as well as members of the Cleveland Indians and Browns were expected to attend O'Neal's party.
