ebay said they wanted more information on the seller for 'suspected image/text theft' see how this suits them
i am reporting several items, all from the same seller, as all are identical listings
120287251536 (currently active)
120281007346 (the one i was a bidder on before realizing images are stolen)
110270886730
110272663950 (currently active)
as you will notice, 22 of the 24 photos contain the ebay logo, but images are hosted by a 3rd party site which means they should not contain the ebay camera watermark as shown in those photos
1st photo (unable to trace contains ebay logo)
2nd photo originated in item 330249767161 (contains ebay logo)
3rd photo originated in item 230267080633 (contains ebay logo)
4th photo originated in item 170234968617 (note the off-center scan and 1 screw case, contains ebay logo)
5th photo originated in item 290243931648 (note the white background and size, contains ebay logo)
6th photo originated in item 230267080109 (note the patch, size, contains ebay logo, also you cant see the serial number but the card is serial number 9/9)
7th photo originated in item 260259237841 (note the white background, contains ebay logo)
8th photo originated in item 170235596374 (note the patch, contains ebay logo)
9th photo originated in item 170235524335 (note the uncased scan and size, contains ebay logo)
10th photo originated in item 150266915683 (note patch, also the offset of the scan, contains ebay logo)
11th photo unable to trace (contains ebay logo)
12th photo originated in item 350073151947 (contains ebay logo)
13th photo is current listing 140243869409 (note the watermark at the bottom of the card that says 'legacy sports las vegas' and current seller user id legacysportslasvegas' DOES NOT CONTAIN EBAY LOGO)
14th photo originated in item 280242566561 (contains ebay logo)
15th photo originated in item 190233689660 (note tight scan around case, DOES NOT CONTAIN EBAY LOGO)
16th photo unable to trace (note serial number and contains ebay logo)
17th-24th photo, unable to trace cards are not of high value, fairly common listings (all contain ebay logo)
i have tried containing the seller of the four listings at the top that i would like to report, seller says that they are the owner of the images, but has not provided scans of the cards to myself, ebay, or paypal that do not contain the ebay logo.
i feel with the above information it should expedite the process of my numerous claims on this particular seller, if the information i have provided does not prove that the images came from sources, i do not know what i can do. It is fairly obvious to anyone who takes the time to look at the listings that the images have indeed been misused to misrepresent items in the four items i started the email with. Also, this seller is conducting a "grab bag lottery" of which is not authorized, and ebay does not own a gamling license to conduct this sort of listing.
Due to the lack of speed used to conduct this investigation and my dissatisfaction with procedures, i have contacted the Better Business Bureau, California Gaming Commission, and the Pennsylvania States Attorneys Office On-Line Fraud department. I will be contacting the Illinois District Attonrey under advice of the Pennsylvania States Attorneys Office Senion Supervisory Agent, Bureau of Consumer Protection John Tokarczyk, [email protected].
Please do review seller COWBOYSNUMBER1 to the fullest with provided information and I will continue to work the legal side of things.
