so what all this means...i didnt reach my goal :doh:

i wanted 50 Bowman Chrome, 50 Topps Chrome, 50 Contenders, 50 SP Authentic, 50 Exquisite, $600 in paypal, and a better Payton AU...i did finish with more than 250 'quality brand' autos, so not too bad, but i wanted a $500+ Walter Payton AU...ill continue to sell some of this stuff off, but with 4 days left, ill go ahead and call it a year...i made a few bucks, and put together a great collection

Hey man I know you didn't reach the goal, but you had a hell of year and picked up tons of cards. I would still call this a sucess. Now sell all the crap and buy a kick *** Walter auto and put the rest in the account and wait for whatever else you want.

i know it was 'successful' but yeah, didnt have anyone dominate in preseason...Thomas Clayton got hurt, Andre Hall ended up getting cut, Jordan Palmer didnt do anything, Drew Olson didnt get picked up, Adrian McPherson is building Igloos...

i know i got some seriously nice stuff for nothing :salut: and ive got 200 project listings up that end in 8-12 days, but unless lots of people have huge games, i wont be making any serious money to buy a payton...Palmer listings already ended, so they will go into the Exquisite Boxes...there will be 2 now :shock: 5 row boxes to...ill have some room, since i had a solid 4 rows before the project, and got at least 3 rows with the project...i think its 42 1 touches per monster row?...its like 35 for a 2 row...cause i have my 06 base set in a 2 row, 1-30 on one side, 31-60 on the other, and there is some room...

and all exquisites are in magnetics :shock: thats some serious coin there....

hoping boller gets some field time this year so i can buy some more that i want/need...

and it was something to do, it wasnt standard lot buying, i actually made myself turn it out...so yeah, a year of buying/selling and i made some money, and really built a solid collection...

most collectors dont have 50 exquisite autos, and i got almost 150 for nothing...

it just goes to show that with a few smart buys, and quick sells, there is money to be made in the industry...it takes some work and would help if you werent attached to cards...like Jordan Palmer, as ive spent probably $400 on his cards :shock: most of which is tied up in Exquisite...then ive got like $175 or so tied up in Andre Hall....

i might pick something up later on down the road, but right now, im just poking around looking for bollers and at 2005 and 2006 Exquisite RC AUs, then Exquisite lots, and Jordan Palmer exquisites...

maybe someone will die a tragic death, like a guy i have 5-10 of, so those $1 autos start selling for $5-$10...id be ok with that...im not going to say i wont take advantage of stupid buyers :snooty: cause i will...

thanks everyone for following my progress...i tried to be nice and cut some pretty good deals on the boards here and the topps boards, but there wasnt too much i got that was wanted around here...

and it wasnt really 'labor hard' but hard in 'time spent searching, keeping all my data sheets current, scanning' it was a bunch of 'office hard' which isnt as bad...

i did get a few offers on some things, and i still do want to get a nicer Payton auto...well 2 actually, i want to get the UD Football Heros and a Topps Stars RC Reprint
