Tyrus Thomas injured himself during the Chicago Bulls' practice Friday afternoon at Berto Center.
The fourth-year forward hurt his left arm while weightlifting.
"Tyrus hurt himself in the weight room a little bit, so he's going to get an X-ray," Bulls coach Vinny Del ***** said. "Hopefully everything's fine. I'm not even exactly sure how he got hurt yet. He kind of tweaked his arm a little bit and he's getting an X-ray. He's pretty sore. Hopefully, he's fine.
"I think he was doing some type of pull-up or whatever," he added.
This has not been a good week for Thomas health-wise. He missed Tuesday night's game against the Bucks with flu-like symptoms. His status for Saturday night's game against the Bobcats is questionable.
Del ***** said rookie forward Taj Gibson would start in Thomas' place for the third consecutive game.
