CALGARY, Alberta (AP)—Dustin Boyd had two goals and the Calgary Flames held on for a 4-3 victory over the Toronto Maple Leafs on Tuesday night.

Jarome Iginla and Dion Phaneuf also scored for the Flames, who had lost four of their last five.

Boyd gave Calgary a 4-1 lead at 11:13 in the third for his first career two-goal game. He fired in a rebound after Vesa Toskala stopped Marc Giordano’s slap shot.

The Flames looked as if they were in control but third-period goals by Nik Antropov and Matt Stajan, with 54 seconds remaining, set up an exciting finish.

As the Maple Leafs kicked off their first road trip through Western Canada since January 2006, they were greeted by a noisy contingent of jersey-wearing supporters. It took just 10 seconds for the “Go Leafs Go” chants to start, quickly drowned out by cheers of “Go Flames Go.”
