Bills starting middle linebacker Kawika Mitchell was carted off the field after hurting his right leg early in the second quarter against Cleveland.

Mitchell was hurt when he was bowled over by two Browns linemen while attempting to tackle running back Jerome Harrison on a sweep left on Sunday. Mitchell lay on the field for several minutes and was unable to put any weight on his right leg as he was lifted onto the cart.

Mitchell was shifted to the middle to take over for Marcus Buggs, who had struggled the past three games filling in for injured starter Paul Posluszny.

The Bills had no update on Mitchell's status.

Browns defensive end Kenyon Coleman hurt his groin and his return was questionable.
