Best Type of Card Case

So, I have a bunch of cards stored in top loaders and old school screw down cases. Most of these are older (normal thickness) cards that I want to keep in cases (either due to value or just because they are special). Many have been in the same case since the late 1990s.

Right now, it's a mixed bag of case types. I'd like to slowly transition them into a more uniform type of case and make sure they are stored in a manner that is safe for the card. What is the best type of case in which to store cards?

I still prefer top loaders with penny sleeves. No matter what type of card.

But again, I'm the only one that touches them... if I were to start letting others handle the cards more often, then I would probably switch to a snap-tite.

I also has the Model 100 from here.

a bit more expensive but this thing is tough! fell/bounced down two flights of stairs and had glasses of water dumped on it a couple of times and took it all like a champ!

Are different top loaders better than others? I have some from when I was a kid that are starting to yellow. Is there a quality difference between brand?
