Most players have variations. Griffey has 3 that spell out - GRIFFEY,THE KID and JUNIOR.

Not sure what the "U" would go to for Verlander, but it's an obvious variation. Drop UD an email and they should be able to tell you. I checked the 06 SP Auth. checklist on Upperdeck.com and came up with nothing.

I highly doubt that is a "D". It looks nothing like a D. Call UD or send them an email. I am sure it's a variation word.
